Remigiusz Gaczynski

Violin

Born in Poland in 1984, Remigiusz Gaczyński began his violin studies at the age of six. He pursued his musical education at the Academy of Music in Lodz, where he graduated with honors. In 2009, he continued his studies at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts, training under Prof. Yair Kless in violin and Professors Chia Chou and Stefan Görner in chamber music.

Gaczyński has refined his artistry through masterclasses with prominent musicians such as Wanda Wilkomirska, Vadim Brodsky, Monika Urbaniak-Lisik, Igor Frolov, Yair Kless and Eyal Kless. As a soloist, he has performed with the Karol Nicze Music Society, showcasing his expressive and technically refined playing.

Since 2011, he has been a member of Live Music Now, and since 2012, he has performed as a member with the Graz Chamber Orchestra and Recreation – Grosses Orchester Graz.

His versatility as a concertmaster is evident in his work with distinguished ensembles, including Euro Symphony SFK Orchestra, Ensemble Vincentius, Chamber Orchestra Con fuoco, and the Graz Academic Philharmonic. With the latter, he has appeared as a soloist in works by Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart.

Gaczyński has received significant recognition for his chamber music achievements. In 2013, he won first prize at the Martha Debelli Competition with his piano quartet, Mistral Quartet. He was a semi-finalist in the 9th International Competition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” in the string quartet category. In 2015, his Equalis Quartet was accepted into the prestigious European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA), and in 2016, the ensemble won first prize in the KUG String Quartet Competition.

Since the 2015/16 season, Remigiusz Gaczyński has been a dedicated member of the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, where he continues to enrich the ensemble with his artistry and passion for music.
